Pop-up dinner event in North Cambridge at the Reservoir Church Ministry Center Dining Room. Open Kitchens is offering Zimbabwean cuisine cooked by Tatenda, an immigrant from Zimbabwe. She is an asylum seeker with a passion for motivational speaking and believes nothing gets a conversation going better than delicious food on the table. A conversation curator will invite us to explore ‘dualistic thinking’ and the ways it inhibits new ideas…and deeper connection. They'll suggest open questions to help us connect with other guests quickly. Limited to twenty-four guests.
Here’s Tatenda’s menu for the evening:
-Fat Cooks, a minced curry filled appetizer
-Sadza, a flavorful side dish made with cornmeal (Gluten free)
-Nyama Yehuku, a traditional chicken stew slow cooked with herbs and spices that offer it a unique flavor. (Vegetarian alternative with meatless mince/beefless meat is available upon request.)
-Murio Nehohwa (Vegan), Spinach and mushrooms with flavors by the herbs it is cooked with
-Queen Cake with ice cream
