The Middle East is a complex region inhabited by diverse populations grappling with political change and cultural dynamism. The region’s internal dimensions are often eclipsed by news coverage of upheaval, turmoil, and conflict -- narratives that leave out vital aspects of residents’ experience. Join us in this three part webinar series as we expand our understanding of the Middle East by exploring intra-regional political relations among neighboring states, youth cultures and artistic expression, and questions of human rights for ethnic and religious minorities. This series will feature leading scholars and offer relevant insights for teaching contemporary issues that illuminate the nuances of daily life, identity, and change in the Middle East.
