Points of Light Cultural Celebration

Points of Light is a spring celebration of unity and renewal that brings together the food, music, and traditions of Lowell’s diverse cultures. The centerpiece of the night is a special ceremony in which participants personalize water lanterns that will be released onto the Western Canal, creating hundreds of floating points of light.

Cultural street food from multiple vendors, beer, and wine sold all night. Other activities include collaborative art, family-friendly games, youth and adult cultural and contemporary music and spoken word, and more.

Schedule

5:00 - 8:00: Lantern decorating, activities, community performances

8:00: Speaking program including many secular and faith traditions

8:15: Lantern Launch

8:30: Xtine and the Intents: Live Dance Party
