Sheriff Patrick McDermott and the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Cohasset Police Department, will host a PMC Kids Ride FUNDRAISER in the fight against cancer on Sunday, September 28th, in Cohasset.
This is the third annual PMC Kids Ride from the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office. It will take place at the Deer Hill School and Osgood School Campus, 203 Sohier Street, Cohasset, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This family-friendly community event invites children between the ages 2 and 15 to participate in safe, well-staffed bike loops, while raising funds for a meaningful cause.
“We’re honored to bring the community together again this year for such an important purpose,” said Sheriff McDermott. “It’s inspiring to see kids, families, and our local partners join forces to support The Jimmy Fund in the ongoing battle against cancer.”
100% of the rider funds raised are donated to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund to find a way to wipe out cancer.
Registration includes a $20 fee and a $40 minimum fundraising commitment.
“The PMC Kids Rides program is designed to instill the value of giving back, community involvement, and teamwork,” said Cohasset Police Chief William Quigley. “The ride is also a nice way to promote health and wellness in our youth.”
