About the Readers...
Nadia Bulkin is the author of the short story collection She Said Destroy (Word Horde, 2017) and the forthcoming novella collection Issues With Authority (Ghoulish Books, September 2025). She has been nominated for a Shirley Jackson Award five times and won a 2023 Bram Stoker Award for her nonfiction personal essay on politicized mental disorder in Indonesia. She has two political science degrees and lives in Washington, D.C.
Carolyn Ferrell's novel, Dear Miss Metropolitan (Holt, 2021), was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction and the PEN/Hemingway Award for Debut Novel. Her first collection, Don't Erase Me (Houghton Mifflin, 1997), won the John C. Zacharis First Book Award. She teaches at Sarah Lawrence College and is at work on a new collection of stories.
Barbara Lock teaches Narrative Medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is Editor-in-chief of Variant Literature. There's more about her at barbaralock.com.
