It's Plant Night & Paint Night together. Join us for a cozy night of houseplants and terracotta painting with an artist and plant experts.


About this event


Calling all planty people! Boho in Boston and Boston Plant Run are teaming up to present you with a special evening December 3rd full of houseplants, pots to paint and plants to take home. It's the perfect planty combination of paint night & plant night. You'll even have the chance to dig your hands in some soil while sipping on some cocoa.


This event will take place in Boho in Boston's studio space, full of vintage finds. Along with your friends you will work throughout this workshop in three main sections


1. Choose the type of houseplant you'd like to ultimately take home (think gorgeous upright philodendrons, trailing plants and some cute compact hoya).


2. Work with local artist PlandaDesign (https://www.instagram.com/plandadesign) to paint your terracotta pot & drip saucer in a unique individualized art design with the guide of artist Adrienne.


3. Next up is the soil mixing station. While your paint is drying, with some plant expert guidance you will create your own special soil mixture for your plant to be potted in....that's next. During this time, you can ask away. Our plant experts are here to chat and share their houseplant wisdom.


4. With the plant experts, they will guide you through proper potting techniques you will develop here and take home with you. We will walk you through taking your rooted plant and placing it in the soil.


5. You will leave for your home with a happy lil’ new plant, artisan pot, some new plant skills and an individually tailored plant care card.


*Additional pots & plants will be available for purchase as well as wares and fixtures from Boho in BostonPlandaDesigns (perfect for the upcoming holiday season.)


We will mask up in accordance with the Somerville Covid-19 policies. All staff are fully vaccinated. We will serve warm + cold beverages as well as snacks should you feel comfortable with that.
