ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Gaia Cornwall loves to write and illustrate books for children. Her artwork has also been featured in magazines, online, in logos, on various products, and even in a couple movies. Her debut picture book, JABARI JUMPS (Candlewick Press), was featured in People Magazine, The New York Times, was named a Charlotte Zolotow Honor Book, an Amazon Best Children's Book of the Year, and was a staff pick in NPR’s Book Concierge: Our Guide To 2017’s Great Reads, among other accolades. Gaia lives in Providence, RI with her two little kiddos, one programmer husband, and two kitty kiddos. You can see more of her work at www.GaiaCornwall.com.

Alison Goldberg is a writer based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I LOVE YOU FOR MILES AND MILES, illustrated by Mike Yamada (Farrar, Straus and Giroux) is her debut picture book. Before becoming a children’s book author, Alison worked for economic justice organizations and wrote a resource guide about social change philanthropy. These days, she blogs about activism in children’s literature and loves researching everything from marine life to contemporary art for her books. www.alisongoldberg.com

Jannie Ho is the author/illustrator of BEAR AND CHICKEN, published by Running Press Kids. Born in Hong Kong, Jannie (pronounced Jane-nee) received her BFA in illustration from Parsons School of Design in New York. After graduating, she worked as an in-house graphic designer at Nickelodeon, Scholastic, and an art director at TIME Magazine for Kids. Jannie specializes in illustrating for the children's market, with her work appearing in board and novelty books, magazines, toys, crafts and digital media. www. JannieHo.com

Gina Perry was always the smallest girl in her class. Reading big books and swinging super high made her feel big when she was small. Gina grew up in Massachusetts, went to art school at Syracuse University, and worked in animation and product design before focusing on writing and illustrating for children. She lives with her family in New Hampshire. SMALL is her picture book debut as both author and illustrator.
