Like Pete Seeger, Alastair Moock performs for everyone, everywhere. He plays "grownup" shows in clubs and coffeehouses, family shows in theaters and schools, and political shows at campaign rallies and protests. His latest album is called "Be a Pain: An Album for Young (and Old) leaders." The Boston Globe calls Moock “one of the town’s best and most adventurous songwriters" and Nora Guthrie says, “Alastair’s songs encourage our kids to pursue goodness, kindness, awareness and courage. Adults might listen up!”
Tonight, Alastair pays tribute to the great Pete Seeger on Pete's 101st birthday. He'll play songs by and about Pete and Pete's friends (Woody, Leadbelly, Elizabeth Cotten, Mississippi John Hurt), and throw in some songs from his own repertoire that reflect Pete's passion for politics, poetry, and inclusivity.
