Join the Parent Talk, the Needham Diversity Initiative and the Mitchell Elementary School in discussing gender identity, the gender spectrum, gender variance, and gender expression may be a few terms you’ve heard or read about lately. This is a current and important topic of relevance to all parents and educators. Attendees will gain familiarity with gender based terminology and concepts as well as an understanding of how to approach the topic at home or in the classroom. Please join us for an informative and interactive evening with experts in the field of gender identity, including Jeff Perotti, founding director of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Safe Schools Program for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning Students.
