In his adopted home of Denmark, refugee Amin confronts the story he’s kept hidden for twenty years—his family’s escape from Afghanistan, his death-defying journey to Western Europe, and his coming out as a gay man.

International Institute of New England (IINE) Community Services Manager Rahmatullah Aka, who will provide updates on local resettlement efforts and share his story of coming to the U.S. from Afghanistan


Immigration lawyer Dan H. Berger, who will discuss efforts to evacuate and bring at-risk Afghans and allies to the U.S.


Syrian refugee Jwan Sido [joining via Skype], who will share his personal story


Leslie Meral Schick (IINE and PomegranateAid), who will moderate the discussion
