The month of December 2018 features oil paintings by Ann Musto. Ann is an award winning, and very active south shore artist. She says: "My paintings are based on the relationship between light and color as I perceive it in landscapes, still life, and portraits/figures. Perception of color and form are only part of what I believe to be the attraction felt by both the artist and the appreciative viewer. By creating two-dimensional representational art in both oils and pastels, my work is an attempt to integrate the realities evident both presently and spiritually. I consider myself a “colorist” and paint both “en plein air” and in the studio working from life, from plein air color studies, and by the use of the gift of imagination. Having worked in art prior to a twenty-five year career in the medical field, I have a passion for creating and participating in the art process, and to pursue my development in contemporary representational art."
