Pub Talks Speaker - Ellen Damsky - "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night..."
Actually, it was quite balmy, with a gentle, salty breeze wafting in from the harbor. The manservant helped Captain White to bed, as he had so many nights before. Neither had noticed the broken basement window four floors below. While the manservant slept undisturbed, something tragic befell the eighty-two-year-old Captain White. Was it the brothers Crowninshield? Knapp? Were they after Captain White’s riches? Does his ghost watch out over Salem’s Essex Street still today? During this Pub Talk, we’ll take an interactive stroll through this real-life event that allegedly inspired the game of Clue. This unique experience blends history, mystery, and good old-fashioned storytelling that begs the question: Which comes first, the story or the history? While we might not be able to solve this case in a single night, we’ll sure have a good time trying!
Pub Talks - Paint Nite Innovation Labs invites you to join the newest unique experiences near you. From custom ukulele making (and playing) to drone building (and flying), we're elevating in-venue experiences all over Boston. At this Innovation Labs event, you'll gather to discuss a trending topic guided by an expert local host. With topics ranging from science to technology and the arts to local history, we're inviting you and your friends to expand your mind through education, discussion, and—as always—a little bit of humor. Your middle school science teacher was right—learning IS fun!
