Maudslay State Park proudly presents the 2024 Outdoor Sculpture at Maudslay. This year’s theme, THREAD, inspired 49 artists to create works that weave together stories, emotions, and materials. The annual outdoor sculpture exhibition is celebrating a quarter-century of artistic exploration with site-specific installations created by local artists from the North Shore and Merrimack Valley.

 

The exhibition is free and opens on Sunday, September 8, and includes an opening reception & self-guided tour on Sunday, September 15 at 2 PM and a THREAD Photo Exhibit & Meet the Artists Celebration on Saturday, September 14 at 6 PM at Riverwalk Brewing Company in Newburyport. The show closes on Sunday, September 29 at Noon.


Celebrate with us as we mark 25 years of artistic innovation at Maudslay! More than 950 works have been showcased, each reflecting a unique understanding of the world through diverse artistic mediums. The exhibition is featured in the Essex National Heritage Commission's Trails & Sails program and is a recipient of the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Gold Star Award.
