Our Story is a powerful, immersive journey through time and truth—where poetry speaks what history tried to silence, movement embodies resilience, and music carries memory across generations. This multidisciplinary performance weaves together spoken word, dance, live music, and dramatic scenes inspired by pivotal moments in African and African American history, connecting the past to the urgency of the present.


The stage comes alive through the voices and bodies of adults and students from local colleges, high schools, and middle schools, performing alongside OrigiNation’s professional youth dance companies. Together, they create a bold, intergenerational tapestry of artistry that honors legacy, confronts injustice, and celebrates the enduring spirit of a people.
