Opt Outside for Adventure on November 25
How will you spend the day after Thanksgiving? Why not go on a self-guided adventure at Hale!
Instead of shopping on Black Friday, go on an adventure at Hale! We're excited to partner with REI to offer this new event to local families.
Seven treasure boxes will be hidden on the property. You'll find them by using an orienteering map (which we'll provide) and by entering their geographic coordinates into your smartphone or GPS device. The boxes contain Hale and REI swag, challenges, and more. We won't spoil the surprise, but you can participate to find out! On Friday, November 25, park at Cat Rock, pick up a map and guidelines, and spend the day exploring our trails.
In addition to the fun of adventure, the challenges and prizes in the treasure boxes, one lucky visitor will win a 2017 Membership Beach Session Bundle, valued at $520. Each box contains a log book, and for every log book you sign, you'll be entered into a drawing to win. Membership Beach families enjoy swimming lessons, arts and crafts, boating, fishing, archery, cookouts, and more.
No tickets are required and you don't need to sign up. Hale's Opt Outside Scavenger Hunt is a free way for families to have fun and spend the day outdoors together.
Hale is a private, non-profit organization that manages over 1,137 acres of woodlands, including four ponds and over twenty miles of trails in Westwood and Dover. Hale is most widely recognized for its summer day camp programs, which annually serve over 4,400 children from over 70 communities in the Greater Boston area.
