A celebration of the creatures who bring us the fruits and flowers, this educational event combines information on nature’s busiest bees and their friends with live performances of opera and musical theatre. Meet up with friends and learn from Growing Center volunteers all about pollination and what we can do at home to assist our pollinator friends! Whether you’re more of a bumblebee, a moth, or a black digger wasp, the afternoon will include fun craft activities for all ages and a garden tour, while Opera on Tap Boston’s performers serenade us with songs on the loveliness of the natural world. Grab your butterfly or fairy wings or make a pollinator head band! We’re all buzzing with excitement to bring you this community afternoon of fun and joy that includes even our youngest STEM and music lovers! This event is presented with support from the Somerville Arts Council, the Mass Cultural Council, and the Somerville Garden Club.
