About the Artists:
Eben Haines was born in Boston, MA in 1990, and he received his BFA with honors from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2013. His work investigates the life of objects through works that emphasize the constructed nature of history. Haines’s paintings, drawings, sculptures, and installations employ various techniques and materials to suggest the passage of time and volatility. Many of his works explore the conventions of portraiture, through figures and objects pictured against cinematic backdrops or in otherworldly scenes.
Elizabeth Harper is a freelance illustrator and tattoo artist based in Boston, MA. She graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a BFA in illustration. Working primarily in pen and ink she delves into the world of dark and sardonic humor. Currently she is looking into the face of death and decay and searching for the glimmer of laugher in the dark. Like a skeleton holding on to a hotdog they never finished, we are full of death and filled with life.
