AEROSOL: Boston’s Graffiti DNA, its Origin and Evolution, featuring the work of artists Timmy “Zone” Allen, Tommy “Kwest” Burns, Alvin “Acoma” Colon, Barrington Edwards, Ricardo “Deme 5” Gomez, Shea Justice, Chepe “Sane” Quintilla, Rob Stull and David “DS7” Taylor.
AEROSOL is a collaboration between writer Jennifer Mancuso and graffiti artist Thomas “Kwest” Burns. Part historical archive, part visual study, AEROSOL follows the path of the kids who held spray cans for their creative outlet into adulthood where their craft is now commodified for the lobbies of Boston’s elite. Pieces will include works on canvas, illustrations, scrolls, and decals while materials will vary from shoe polish to oil paint.
AEROSOL will run from December 6th through February 16th.
Opening reception will be held on Friday, December 6th from 5 to 8 pm.
