Open Path: Preparing Your Pelvic Floor for Labor and Birth

Sunday, March 5th

2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Your pelvic floor is both the portal to the world, and also the guide for how your baby enters the world. It is the emotional gateway to the womb, and the ground of our physical and energetic center. Bottom line, this is where it starts!

This session is for birthing people to join Bec for an interactive lecture, discussion and practice around the anatomy, physiology and practices for preparing the pelvic floor for the birth process and beyond. We will delve into the difference between tension and tone, and yes, cover ways to help minimize any damage during the birth process.

In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn:

Bec Conant is the founder and owner of Om Births, an online platform focused on Pre and Postnatal yoga as well as all things surrounding the childbearing process. She has studied and taught yoga for over 25 years, and has trained with Cyndi Lee, Barbara Benagh, Judith Lasater, and Leslie Howard. Bec is a certified Pelvic Floor Yoga™ teacher, a Trained Childbirth educator, Spinning Babies Parent Educator, HypnoBirthing Practitioner, Meditation teacher, and Mom to her own 4-year-old boy.

Her work focuses on empowering birthing people throughout the transition into parenthood and beyond and helping them find their own sangha of support both inside and out.
