Learn how to make onigiri, delicious Japanese rice balls, with the Japan Society of Boston!


Have you ever had onigiri, the delicious rice balls wrapped in salty nori that form a staple of Japanese cuisine? We are proud to partner with the Japan Society of Boston to present a class on making these sumptuous little treats!


This will be a hybrid program - participants can make their own onigiri with a live, in-person assembly station set up in the Library's Community Room. All materials will be provided and safely divided. The instructor from the Japan Society of Boston will be joining us via Zoom, which will be shown on the Community Room TV. The in-person portion is intended for students aged 11+ but all library patrons are welcome to participate online via the Zoom. Please register to receive the proper Zoom information.
