Now Listen Here returns with After Hours, true stories about fun with no sun and danger in the dark! It's our monthly Open Mic where all are welcome to show up with a true story of their own, throw their name in the jug, and take a shot at storytelling fame and glory.
Our featured storyteller is Sarasweet Rabidoux Kelsey! Sara Sweet Rabidoux-Kelsey holds an MFA in Choreography and Dance History from Smith College and is the Founder and Artistic Director of the erstwhile modern dance company, hoi polloi. She has been a featured teller with The Moth MainStage, Fugitive Stories and SpeakUp Connecticut. She was recently part of the very first Moth MainStage ever in Dayton Ohio and on Friday, May 17th, she'll be hitting the Now Listen Here stage.
Our musical feature will be Nima Samimi of Muhammad Seven and the Spring! Nima played to a packed house recently for the release of his latest album at the Home.stead bakery & cafe. We are so fortunate to have Nima as a part of the Dorchester community!
Now Listen Here is a Dorchester based, Live storytelling series that features true stories told by those who experienced them! We love calling Dorchester home!
