-Sheriff Patrick McDermott and the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the sheriff’s HOPE Center and Wey of Life Peer Recovery Center, are excited to announce that rising local music star Justin Clancy will headline the Norfolk County Recovery Fest on Saturday, September 13th, in Braintree. Clancy, who just released a popular new album and packed a show at the Brighton Music Hall, will take the stage during the free music fest at the Public Safety Complex, 2015 Washington Street, Braintree. The fest runs from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on September 13th.
Recovery Fest will host dozens of vendors who are actively involved in the recovery community. Attendees ages 10 and older will have access to the sheriff’s exciting zip line, and a yearly cornhole tournament organized by Massachusetts Young People in Recovery will be held on the day of the fest. The tournament will start at noon and will include prizes. Competitors may register up until 11:45 a.m. that Saturday or in advance at https://bit.ly/MyPIRcornhole
There will be games for all ages, including miniature golf, and a graffiti wall featuring local artists Swerve and Jay Mac, along with complimentary food from the sheriff’s Tactical Picnic Unit.
