In order to access this livestream please RSVP for tickets via Eventbrite. A link to the livestream will then be emailed to you once you have completed the registration, then again 48 hours prior, 2 hours prior, and 10 minutes before the event begins just for good measure!

About ONCE Virtual Venue:

In May of 2020 ONCE Somerville, an independent venue in the Boston Metro area, decided to launch a “virtual venue”. The venue was started in response to the COVID19 crisis and the massive amount of cancellations that occurred in the wake of stay at home order. ONCE VV is a place for audiences to interact and enjoy performances that range to suit all sorts of palates. Music, tutorials, fitness, games and more.

“We call ourselves independent, but what we are is interdependent. Performance is art. Art soothes and nurtures us. It makes us happy.” ONCE VV will work hard to add a warmth and hospitality to the livestream by evoking the hominess and cozy hospitality they are known for and will continue to keep the ONCE name tied to diverse and quality programming as they frontier the wild west of an online “virtual venue”.

No Small Children is an all-girl band, or as they call themselves, a band. They were born on the playground in the spring of 2012. Elementary school-teachers by day, guitarist and singer Lisa Pimentel and drummer Nicola Berlinsky decided to start the band while covering recess duty. Three months later they had an EP, countless shows behind them and an east coast tour booked. By October 2013, bass player and singer Joanie Pimentel had moved to Los Angeles to join the group. With all three teaching at the same school, lunch breaks became band meetings, after-school times became rehearsals and holidays were reserved for touring.

NSC’s animated, edgy and break-neck live show both invites you in and calls you out all while you sing along to the fresh, yet familiar, refrains of their carefully constructed songs. Their glamorous matching dresses and bona fide command of the stage will have you leaving at the end of the night a little hoarse, with a smile, and a warm fuzzy feeling.
In 2017, No Small Children released a new single - “Radio” produced by the legendary, Bob Marlette (Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath, Filter and more). “Radio” has recently been featured on The World Famous KROQ (Los Angeles), “Rock Band Rivals” video game and in the 2018 season of the Drew Barrymore’s Netflix show, Santa Clarita Diet. A previously released song, “Big Steps” was also featured in the 2017 season of Santa Clarita Diet as well. No Small Children’s remake of the classic Ghostbusters theme song can be heard in the 2016 Ghostbusters movie. Additionally, RCA Records officially released the song as a single.
No Small Children was honored to have performed at the Unity Ball in Washington DC immediately following the 2017 Women’s March on Washington. The band spoke about this and other topics during their interview on NPR’s Weekend Edition that aired January 1st, 2017.

These ladies eat, live and breathe music and you can feel it in their songs. They create it, perform it, and then pass their love of it onto the next generation of music lovers. Soon to be playing at a big theatre near you…
