In collaboration with Gabrielle Morriseau, sake-sommelier and manager at Craft and Cru (Milton, MA), we aim to create a unique sake tasting experience that you will not forget! With its bitter cold winters and well-balanced natural spring water, Niigata prefecture is famous for generating extremely high-quality and unique-tasting sake. We will guide you through different Niigata sakes carefully paired with a selection of light appetizers. Yuichi Yamagishi - Sake Master (酒匠）

Born in the town of Tokamachi located in Niigata prefecture, he is the fourth generation owner of “Sake Hotel Tamakiya” in Matsunoyama Onsen, Niigata. Mr. Yamagishi is certified as both sake master and sake sommelier and has been awarded the prestigious gold level in the Niigata sake rankings. He achieved first place at the Niigata sake-tasting contest in 2017 and is currently a finalists in the sake world championship.

Gabrielle Morriseau - Sake Sommelier

A Boston native, Gabrielle has been working in the Japanese food and beverage industry for over 15 years. Though she has long been a sake aficionado, in 2013 she started formalizing her training and became an internationally certified sake sommelier in 2016. Gabrielle is currently manager at Craft and Cru in Milton where she curates the beer and sake selection, leads tastings, staff trainings, and organizes unconventional sake pairing events.
