Newton Juneteenth Celebration 2025

Bring your kids, friends and parents and join us for a day filled with fun, food, and community spirit ! This FREE outdoor event marks Newton's 4th annual celebration to commemorate 160 years of emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Don't miss out on this special day of unity and joy, with activities for all ages!

• Two food trucks: delicious Caribbean flavors of Reggae Food and ZaZ
  
• DJ Firestarta dance party
• Shopping local Black-owned businesses
  
• Music performance by Rev. Devlin Scott
• African dancing by the Afro Diamonds
  
• Justin Petty steel band
• Kids' face painting by EyeDezign
  
• Design and print your own tote bag using hand-carved Adinkra stamps sourced from Ghana in a FREE workshop hosted by House of Tafari – sign up at the welcome desk (only available from 12.30-2.20pm and places are limited!)
