The New England Congenital Heart Walk brings heart families, survivors, and supporters together for a meaningful one-mile walk—honoring Heart Warriors we’ve lost and celebrating those still fighting. Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) are the most prevalent heart defect in the United States, affecting 1 in 110 babies.  The Walk is a family-friendly day of connection, remembrance, and hope, showing that no one faces CHDs alone. 


Event highlights include: Family-friendly activities, crafts, free Zoo admission, refreshments, a heart felt program, remembrance of heart angels, a celebration of heart warriors and our signature walk.

The Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF) is celebrating 30 years as the nation’s leading organization solely dedicated to funding congenital heart defect research. History of CHF:  CHF was founded in 1996 by Betsy and Steve Peterson, whose son Sam passed away from complications of a congenital heart defect. Sam’s legacy is our purpose—his story transformed personal loss into a national movement focused on hope, answers, and better outcomes for children and families affected by CHDs.From one family’s determination, CHF has grown into a trusted national organization focused on advancing the science of CHD care.
