International Jazz Pianist, Emmet Cohen, is coming to the North End/Waterfront in Boston on Wednesday, October 3rd at the Living Room Restaurant & Lounge located at 101 Atlantic Avenue in Boston, MA.
A Suzuki piano student at age three and a YAMAHA artist, Emmet Cohen is a multifaceted American jazz pianist and composer, one of his generation’s pivotal artistic figures. Cohen is a powerful and charismatic performer who possess wide-ranging talents that are reinvigorating the contemporary arts world both domestically and internationally, and are received enthusiastically worldwide.
This event is a fundraiser for North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC). Doors open at 6:00 p.m., Concert is at 7:30 p.m. There are two ticket options for this event, one general admission ($25) and one VIP option ($75) which includes an exclusive 'meet and greet' with the artist from 6 - 7 p.m., appetizers, and one drink ticket.

Leader of the "Emmet Cohen Trio," Cohen is an international jazz artist and clinician who inspires student performers of all ages to become, like himself, responsive to their audiences. He has appeared in the Newport, Monterey, and North Sea jazz festivals, among others, and at many famous music venues, including Rose Hall and the Kennedy Center. Cohen has also played in legendary nightspots, such as the Village Vanguard, the Blue Note, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, Birdland, Jazz Standard, Ronnie Scott's, and Jazzhaus Montmartre. He is Hammond B-3 organist-in-residence at Harlem's SMOKE jazz club.
Cohen holds jazz piano degrees from the Manhattan School of Music (M.M.) and the University of Miami (B.M.). He was a finalist in both the American Pianists Association's Cole Porter Fellowship (2015, 2011) and the Thelonious Monk International Piano Competition (2011).
