This seminar will present basic and intermediate concepts in social media use, aimed at upping engagement for small and medium-sized organizations and individual artists working in the arts and culture sector.
Jason McCool comes from a long line of people who have been asked, "Is that your real last name?" Invited to be one of 50 arts leaders in Massachusetts to sit on the Mass Creative Leadership Council, he has worked as a director, AEA actor, producer, and musician, and has advised many organizations on best practices in social media use, including Theatre Washington, the National Philharmonic, Solas Nua, Blue Heron Choir, the Greater Boston Vintage Society, and AERONAUT Brewing Company. He is presently the Arts & Culture Liaison at AERONAUT, having formerly held (oddly enough) the same title for the Social Media Club of DC. Somewhere along the way he is pursuing a PhD in Musicology at Boston University, writing on modern jazz, Irish singing and Hamilton: An American Musical. www.jasonmccool.com
This workshop is made possible by a partnership between CityPOP Egleston and the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston.
