The National Ballet of Ukraine, world- renowned and the country’s official ballet company, embarks on a 16-city East Coast tour of the United States. The tour is a celebration of Ukrainian culture and resilience, where each leap, spin, and lift symbolize the indomitable spirit of a nation. The tour also serves a greater purpose: supporting the war-torn nation of Ukraine as it courageously faces the ongoing Russian invasion. Portions of the proceeds from the tour will restore and improve the lives of Ukrainian families affected by the war.
From the historic Taras Shevchenko National Opera House in Kyiv, the world-class dancers will captivate audiences with a stunning program featuring timeless classics, including “The Dying Swan,” “Don Quixote,” and “Giselle.” Joining the National Ballet of Ukraine are the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers, an internationally renowned Ukrainian folk-dance ensemble with high-energy performances that combine precise footwork, gravity-defying jumps, and an infectious vitality that pulses through every movement. In a first-of-its-kind experience, audiences are immersed in a breathtaking fusion of dance and technology, as the 44 incredible artists perform in front of a massive cutting-edge 3D LED screen with groundbreaking technology that brings the beauty and spirit of Ukraine to life.
