Anthem Theatre Company presents 'My Fascination with Creepy Ladies,' a devised theatre piece based on a collection of horror tales by Edgar Allan Poe. Poe's own harrowing experiences interweave with his short stories and poems–works that address, according to Poe, the "most poetical topic in the world": the death of a beautiful woman. The performance includes classics like The Raven and Annabel Lee, along with lesser-known (and scarier!) horror gems such as Berenice and Ligeia. A Halloween must!


This play features Anthem company members Michael Poignand and Johnny Kinsman, as well as Siobhan Carroll, Olivia Z. Cote, Sarah Gazdowicz, Katie Grindeland, Luz Lopez, Jessica Scout Malone, Eric McGowan, Christine Power, C. Padraig Sullivan, and Elena Toppo. The devised project was conceived and directed by Bryn Boice, last year's Elliot Norton Award winner for Outstanding Director (Large Theatre), and designed by Bridget K. Doyle and Theona White.


Running time: 95-100 minutes, no intermission.
