Take a guided tour of the historic grounds at Gore Place and learn the history of this country seat and working farm of the early 1800s. A wealthy Boston couple, Christopher Gore and his wife Rebecca developed their estate in Waltham over several decades. Gore called it “My farm at Waltham.” Though much of the farm is gone today; Gore Place has restored the mansion, carriage house and farmer’s cottage; and kept the original 50 acres of what was a 200-acre farm. Recent projects include growing the flock of Leicester Longwool sheep and building a period barn.

Also available at 3 p.m. and Wednesdays 1 and 3 p.m. by advanced tickets only.

Tours are limited to 9 guests. Face masks are required and participants must stay at least 6 feet away from anyone not in their party. The tour lasts 45 minutes. You will be outside the entire time, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Bring your own water. Restrooms will not be available. Advanced tickets required. No one will be admitted without a pre-purchased ticket.
