This is a challenging day hike loop in the presidential range to eventually summit Mt Jefferson. Weather in the Gorham, NH region looks rainy so far, but if it clears up, this event can continue. We'll start at the Castle Trailhead (trailhead should show up on GPS) and take the Castle RAVINE trail to ascend to Jefferson, then the regular Castle trail going down. There will be rock scrambling and a steep climb once we reach the headwall.
*We'll need to start EARLY due to long driving distance and challenging trail.*
NO NEW HIKERS PLEASE. This event is for hikers with experience in the Presidential range. Experienced hikers should know the proper gear needed for these hikes.
