Are you interested in watching films and then talking about them? Then, this event is for you!

Who? Free & open to the public (all ages)

What? For our upcoming Movie Nights, we will be showing a documentary film by Crossing Borders Films called "American Textures." The film follows six young Americans of Black, White and Latino origin taking a road trip through the southern United States to confront race through dialogue. Their journey moves them to push through the wall of silence/fear/discomfort that surrounds race in today’s America and face the presence of segregation, bias, and blindness, not only in US society, but also inside themselves. Following a screening of the film, we will break into small groups for discussion.

PROGRAM:
6:30 - 7:00 PM // Popcorn & snacks
7:00 - 8:20 PM // Screening of "American Textures"
8:20 - 9:00 PM // Small group discussions

When? Friday, Sept 27, 7:00-9:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm)
