Mts Straightback and Major are 2 peaks in the Belknap Range, and this hike should offer decent views of Lake Winnipesaukee while we're waiting for more greenery during this transitional season. This is a 7 mile loop, with just over 1700 ft of elevation gain, and is rated moderate by AllTrails.

Mandatory gear list
1) Waterproof hiking shoes (or boots)
2) Gaiters
3) Microspikes
4) Waterproof pants and core
5) Multiple non-cotton layers
6) Non-cotton socks
7) 2 liters of water to be insulated inside of your backpack
8) Snacks and food
9) Hat and waterproof gloves
10) A copy of the trail
11) Headlamp or flashlight
Expectations
You are responsible for having a map of this hike (digital/physical); this is not a guided hike. I hike at a moderate pace ~1.5 mph) and I like to stay as a group when I hike, so please do not sign up if you plan to speed ahead or if that pace is unreasonable for you. Winter is over but it's likely we will encounter winter conditions and slush/snow/mud at higher altitudes, so waterproof gear and spikes are still mandatory!
