Given that it will be foliage season and how much people have been raving about the mountain, we will be hiking Mount Chocorua, and the Three Sisters for good measure. But we won't be doing it the easy way: We'll be going up the Carter Ledge Trail, one of the Terrifying 25 as seen here. This will be a tough take on the mountain, with about 10 miles and 3300 feet of elevation gain. a map is provided here for reference.


The trip will be tough, but once we get up there the exposed summit will give 360 panoramic views of the southern White Mountains at height of foliage season. Plus you will have gotten one of the Terrifying 25.


Please bring the following gear:


1) hiking boots or trail runners - no sneakers


2) 2 -3 liters of water


3) Snack and food


4) A map of this hike - it's your responsibility


5) Rain gear and warm layers


6) Hat and Gloves


8) A spine of steel for climbing the steep ledges.
