Celebrate Mother's Day with us at The Speedway!
We want to celebrate all the Mothers/Mother Figures out there!
Lionheart Confections will be here starting at 12pm until sell out selling their deliciously brave and bold pastries and donuts!
Bluebird Bouquet will be here doing a DIY Bouquet Pop-Up!
How does it work? You choose a size of bouquet, and then build it yourself based on the super handy guides. It's the perfect (and super personal) gift! (or make one for yourself, you deserve it!)
Bluebird will also be selling HANDMADE Mothers Day Cards provided by Womens Lunch Place, a unique daytime shelter and advocacy center in Boston dedicated to helping women in need with healthy meals, essentials, and one-on-one assistance. Each Mother’s Day card can support a week of healthy lunches for a Women’s Lunch Place guest!
The handmade cards are made each year by a different women that has been involved in the shelter.
This year’s WLP Mother’s Day Card artist, Lillian collaborated with local artist and longtime volunteer and donor of WLP, Janice Hayes-Cha, to create a beautiful collage out of repurposed greeting cards.

At The Speedway Gallery, CAA Member Kate True will host live, 15 minute portrait sessions! Using a lovely sepia toned walnut ink painted on archival paper and presented with card backing in a plastic sleeve, these 11 x 14 inch drawings are dry and ready to take home in about 30 minutes. These are true heirlooms and make the best gifts! And not to worry about squirmy babies and kids, if 15 minutes seems like an enormously long amount of time to sit still, Kate can finish the portrait from a photograph!
