The National Spelling Bee is great and all, but wouldn't it be better if you replaced all those weird kids who spend all day reading the dictionary with cool grown-ups like you who have better things to do -- like drinking?


Now you can spell -- and drink -- on the first Tuesday of every month at Highland Kitchen's spelling bee. Nicole Pierce and Victor Tiernan of local dance theater company Egoart are the hosts and word pickers, and the winner receives a gift certificate to HK.


Remember: "i" before "e" except after "c" and after "Old MacDonald had a farm."
