Who are the people who made YOU? re{ACT} re{BUILD} re{COLLECT} uses dance theatre too look at the ways we discover, connect with, and remember the people and relationships that shape our lives. These collaborative creations use metaphors to illustrate how imperfection can transform into physical poetry. A combination of movement and spoken word, partnered with a deft use of costumes and props, create a perfect coctail of storytelling for anyone who as ever lost a friend or made a new one.
re{ACT} re{BUILD} re{COLLECT} is choreographed and performed by Monkeyhouse founders Karen Krolak and Nicole Harris; company choreographers Sarah Feinberg, Sam Mullen, Olivia Scharff and Caleb Howe, and guest artists Kim Holman and Sarah Friswell Cotton.
Monkeyhouse is an award winning, Boston based nonprofit that connects communities to choreography. Encouraging people to move with meaning is vitally important in these times of economic uncertainty when many feel disillusioned, stuck, and depressed. Choreography can emphasize individual strengths, express issues that are otherwise difficult to discuss, increase blood flow to the brain to ignite new ideas, and awaken innovative ways to balance. www.monkeyhouselovesme.com
