JUNE 26
ANIBAL CRUZ and THE BLUE ISLAND PROJECT
Anibal Cruz is a Cuban pianist whose work presents a broad range of influences, including jazz, R&B, classical, and Cuban music—all of which bring high contrast within his compositions and arrangements.
This concert will showcase one of his projects, The Blue Island, where the mix between Afro-Cuban rhythms Blues, R&B, and World music creates a contemporary and unique sound.
In Cruz’s own words: “Our goal is to create music that engages people of all ages, and cultural backgrounds. We have made it our mission to grow an audience that loves Cuban music and its culture.”
