Minni Make + Play virtual workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 1.5–5 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.


In Minni Make + Play – Primary Playdough (virtual) future bakers and sculptors alike will create their own playdough using simple, safe ingredients. Instructor Maria will begin with a book reading before showing students how to mix primary colored playdough into bright secondary colors perfect for future play.


Materials Needed


Scavenger hunt items: objects found at home in primary colors. This may include art materials, toys, books and recycled materials.


Flour


Salt


Water


Food coloring or watercolor


2 bowls


2 spoons, 1 for each bowl


A tray or protected surface


Cookie cutters, kitchen tools, small rolling pins – anything for optimal playdough play!


Ziploc bags or airtight containers to store playdough in


We encourage all participants to complete a fun scavenger hunt challenge before we gather for each workshop. These items are listed above in the material list.
