Minni Make + Play virtual workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 1.5–5 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.
In Minni Make + Play - Ice Cream Shop (Virtual) students and caregivers will whip up creative sweet treats with a variety of toddler-safe art materials. Instructor Maria will show students how to transform a simple playdough recipe into crafty cones and ice cream sculptures.
Materials Needed
Scavenger hunt items: materials to decorate your ice cream sundae with, such as paper shapes, pieces of yarn and pom poms!
1/2 cup of flour
1/4 cup of salt
1/4 cup of water
Food coloring
A couple bowls for mixing playdough
Spoon for mixing playdough
Paper/ plastic bowl or small container (a yoghurt cup is perfect)
Liquid glue to use as sauce (we recommend mixing in a little bit of paint or food coloring)
Optional: Additional tools for optimal playdough play!
