Minni Make + Play virtual workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 1.5–5 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.


In Minni Make + Play – Galaxy Collages (virtual) little star gazers and caregivers will collage their own constellations and starry skies. Instructor Maria will begin with a book reading before showing students how to create galaxy collages using contrasting, metallic materials bright enough to shine in the night.


Materials Needed


Scavenger hunt items: Materials to collage with, such as tin foil, tissue paper in light colors, construction paper, magazine scraps and pom poms. Materials in yellow, white, light blue, silver and gold are recommended.


Black, dark blue or dark purple construction paper


White tempera paint


Tray for paint


Objects to stamp with, such as wine corks, bubble wrap and Q-Tips


Glue sticks or Elmer’s liquid glue


Optional: Glitter!


We encourage all participants to complete a fun scavenger hunt challenge before we gather for each workshop. These items are listed above in the material list.
