Please join the Massachusetts Housing & Shelter Alliance (MHSA) and other experts on Zoom on November 5 at 4pm for a mobilization call to learn about proposed federal cuts to supportive housing.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is proposing major policy changes that would undo decades of bipartisan progress in solving homelessness with housing – and would instead increase homelessness nationwide. More than 170,000 people nationwide could lose their housing. In Massachusetts, that’s $136 million and 3,800 homes for individuals and families with disabilities at risk.
Supportive housing strengthens our communities and impacts all of us. It keeps people housed, reduces ER visits and jail stays, and saves public dollars. Please join us in raising your voice to protect this critical resource.
