Join MFA Film for a 50th-anniversary screening of "The Graduate," part of the series "Feed Your Head: Films from 1967" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman, in his screen acting debut) moves into his parents’ Pasadena home after earning his bachelor’s degree at Williams College. As the lazy summer days march by, he struggles to avoid the one question everyone keeps asking: What do you want to do with your life? An unexpected diversion arrives in the form of Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), a bored housewife and family friend who seduces Benjamin one afternoon. But what begins as a fun tryst turns complicated when Benjamin falls for the one woman Mrs. Robinson demanded he stay away from—her daughter Elaine (Katharine Ross).

Presented in a 4K digital restoration.

Before the screening, see posters, album covers and photographs from the ’60s in "The Summer of Love: Photography and Graphic Design" in the Edward and Nancy Roberts Family Gallery.

The MFA's Film Program is recognized as one of the country's leading independent exhibitors of film, presenting more than 500 screenings of independent, foreign and classic films every year. MFA members can get free tickets to hundreds of screenings by joining Friends of Film, a group that connects film lovers with other cinephiles through discussions and events: bit.ly/2hYLBB0
