Join us at for a screening of David Lynch's "Dune" (1984) at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston! š„ šæ
In the year 10191, a duke and his family are sent by the Emperor to the desert planet of Arrakisāhome to giant sand worms and the main source of a precious substance called melange that is essential to interstellar travel. The move is intended to destroy the family, but the dukeās gifted son (Kyle MacLachlan) escapes and seeks revenge, using the planetās ecology as one of his weapons.
Featuring iconic performances by MacLachlan, Patrick Stewart, and Sting, this controversial space epic is a feast for the senses with wildly imaginative sets and a haunting soundtrack by Toto and Brian Eno.
"Dune" is part of "On the Fringe: Adventures in Cult Cinema," an MFA Film series screening throughout 2019: bit.ly/2GHkSKZ
