According to Modern Drummer magazine, Marko Djordjevic is "a world-class drummer" and "a true innovator." Allaboutjazz.com calls his band Sveti "a group of absolutely monster musicians." As a composer, Djordjevic draws on his Serbian roots as well as on the American jazz tradition, creating a potent and unique musical blend. The band will feature Tim Miller, guitar (faculty); Petar Krstajic, bass (student); Josh Shpak, trumpet (student); Andrija Gavrilovic, trumpet (student). As eclectic, dynamic, intricate, and intense as their music is, this band's performances are also highly accessible, promising a great musical experience to all who attend.
