The Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Boston is delighted to announce the debut of MOspresso, a pop-up coffee shop created in partnership with renowned coffee brand Illy. Set amongst the lobby’s exotic blonde wood paneling, guests are able to enjoy this “buzz-worthy” experience in the comfort of the Lobby Lounge beginning on Tuesday, May 2 to Friday, June 30, 2017. A blend of modern contemporary style and traditional Oriental elegance, the ambiance is luxurious yet comfortable, making it an ideal gathering spot to enjoy an energizing afternoon perk or a leisurely evening nightcap.
Illy’s well-balanced signature blend is composed of nine distinct highest-order Arabica beans spanning four continents. Velvety, immediately sweet with floral and fruity notes, this signature blend features hints of caramel, toast and chocolate, and is naturally fragrant with aromas of almond and honey. Available to enjoy within the relaxed surroundings of the Lobby Lounge or on the go, Illy’s caffeinated and decaffeinated signature blend will be served for USD 5. Artisan specialty coffees including cappuccinos, lattes and espressos and premium Dammann Frères loose leaf teas, will also be available for USD 6.
Pastry Chef Robert Differ will complement these specialty drips with a selection of coffee-inspired desserts including: Tiramisu Coupe enhanced with a mascarpone mousse, biscotti crumble and toasted almond ice cream (USD 12); Cappuccino Chip Cheesecake with a cookie crust, drizzled with a dark chocolate sauce and vanilla Chantilly (USD 12); Éclair Duet served with a café cream, Amaretto Chantilly and 55% bittersweet sauce (USD 12); Affogato composed of vanilla gelato, Illy espresso and chocolate covered coffee beans (USD 10) and a selection of homemade ice cream served with a freshly baked biscotti and chocolate sauce; flavors include: toasted almond, latte, vanilla, and chocolate (one-scoop USD 6, three-scoops USD 10).
In addition, signature MOspresso java-inspired martinis will be available for USD 15 and will feature: Cioccolatini, espresso, vodka and chocolate liqueur; Cremosa espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur and Irish Cream; Black & Tan, espresso, Irish Cream and coffee liqueur; and Espresso Martini, espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur. Beer and wine selections will also be on hand.
The Lobby Lounge is open to entertain 25 seated guests or a reception for up to 50. Regular hours of service will be Tuesday to Friday from 3 to 7 P.M. and Saturday to Sunday from 1 to 7 P.M. Reservations for groups of six or more people are available. For additional information please contact +1 (857) 400 2062 or visit http://www.mandarinoriental.com/boston/fine-dining/lobby-lounge/.
