Join us for this unique paper-making workshop with Drew Cameron, of Combat Paper, in the historic Wiggin Gallery.
You can bring your own military issued fabric, though all materials for the workshop will be provided. Take home a handmade sheet of paper, created through this group process. Participants can attend one or both days. Drew will give an overview of the program, and then we'll sit down and make paper together!
COMBAT PAPERĀ® transforms military uniforms into handmade paper. A uniform worn through military service carries with it stories and experiences that are in the woven threads. Creating paper and artwork from these fibers carries these same qualities. We have found that all of us are connected to the military. When these connections are discovered and shared it can open a deeper understanding between people and expand our collective beliefs about military service and war.
24 participants, registration required. Please register on our website: https://bpl.bibliocommons.com/events/69fcea00caf93436005a6dfc. Non-registered visitors may observe the workshop. Contact us at [email protected] with any questions.
