Have you ever seen a really cool handmade bottle opener, and thought, “I should make one for myself.” Join us at Artisan’s Asylum for a private couples, friend, or #fam class on how to make your own! Learn how to transform a plain block of wood and produce a handmade wooden bottle opener to take home and use for decades to come. This class is safely designed for two to experience a fun date-night or fam-night experience together.
In this class designed for two, learn the fundamentals of spindle turning on a wooden lathe with your choice of a variety of hardwood. After some practice on the equipment, turn your piece from a square block of wood into a round handle perfect for your opener. With a final finish and polish, you’ll be set to install the metal opener using a threaded insert and glue for a secure and long-lasting hold.
Materials Fee
$30 per couple; payable to the instructor at the start of class
