Join us at the Artisans Asylum, for an opportunity to try something new, let your imagination run wild, and prepare a homemade gift! No prior experience is required. Even if you don't celebrate these holidays, it's fun to use your hands to create a unique, one-of-a-kind garment by attaching bells, pom poms, holly, snow, buttons, characters, fur & tassels, ect. to a thrifted sweater. These festive garments have become a tradition of their own, so come join the fun and meet some like-minded folks while you are at it.


Use your composition and design skills to arrange items on a garment to be worn.

Use needle and thread or glue to attach decorative items to a sweater.

Learn to make pom poms.

Cut out characters from foam material.

A thrifted base sweater, needles, thread, glue, and ornamental items to be attached to the sweater are provided.

Students are welcome to bring additional materials if they want, including sweaters, ornaments, tinsel, ribbons, yarn, bells, etc.
